It is time for a new beauty review and this is all about the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer. This was one of the first products that I ever tried by Charlotte Tilbury. It really did start the love affair. The reason why I want to write this blog post for you today is that even though this has been on the market for quite a few years.

Many people out there have bought and used this item. I still see people querying the difference between this and the more recently released Hollywood Flawless filter. So I thought that I would sit down and have a chat with you all about the Wonderglow primer. Why I have used for so long? Why I love it so much. And why I know it is going to continue to be a permanent item in my makeup collection.

What do I think of the packaging?

The first thing that I want to talk about is the packaging of the item. I know that the packaging is not the be all and end all when it comes to new makeup products. However, if I am spending a good amount of money on a new makeup item, I want the packaging to be nice.  Not to mention functional. The packaging for this item is just a plastic squeezy tube. But I think even though it is fairly simple, it still has that essential Charlotte Tilbury flair. It is that flair that makes me love her other products so much. I have used this so much. Travelled all over the world with this in my suitcase. Never have I had any worries about how it is going to fair being thrown around.

When do I use this item?

This is a great product to use underneath my makeup, but I have used it in a couple of different ways over the years. As I mentioned, the most traditional way that I wear this is just a light layer on top of my moisturiser before I go in with my foundation. It adds a nice glow which then shines through the foundation. Another way that I wear this Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow is just by wearing it on ‘no-makeup days’, just to enhance my skin a little and make it look super glowing and fresh. The final way that I have worn this is by mixing it with my foundation before applying to the skin, which sheers out the foundation and makes it much more slick on the skin. No matter which way I use this product, I feel like it works absolutely perfectly!

How does this pair with my other makeup?

Something which is super important that has to be spoken about is how does this pair with other makeup that I like to throw on my face. I am the kind of person that wears lots of minimal wears of makeup, which means that I need every single layer of my makeup to work well together. You can get that horrendous thing where your makeup balls up if it does not work well together, but I have found that this never happens with this beautiful little product. I have thrown so much at this Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow primer like different serums, foundation sticks and so much more, no matter what I have tried to pair it with, it always looks and wears absolutely flawlessly. That is something that I think is so important when a product costs this much money if you are wanting to use it daily.

What has made me continue to use this?

I have loved this product for a very long time. But as a makeup lover and reviewer, it is kind of my job to switch up my products regularly. When it comes to this item, I just don’t want to swap and change the item that I am using. It is a super reliable product in my makeup routine. My look will always be flawless and long lasting. I have tried other similar products over the years that boast to be pretty similar. At the end of the day, this is the item that I want to use. That I reach for every single morning when I am putting my face on before heading out to work.

What do I think about value for money?

I find this hard to answer because what I choose to spend my money on, may be completely different to what other people are happy or comfortable in spending on a primer. For me, the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow is great value for money and that is why I have bought tube after tube for the past 4 years or so now. I think that one tube of this primer may set you back around £45, but I honestly would say that with using this on a daily basis, I get around 7 months’ worth of use out of one single item, which I think is pretty good going when I compare it to other primers in my collection like the Benefit Porefessional for example. Plus, the other great thing about this is that it is dual purpose because you can throw this on when you are ditching foundation.

Would I recommend this to others?

This is always the hardest question for me because I want to make sure that if I am giving the put my seal of approval on a product and I recommend you to go out and spend your own cash on an item, I want to make sure that I can 100% back that up. I guess the thing for me when it comes to this Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer is that it really depends on you, how you want your makeup to appear and if you feel like your skin in general needs that additional boost. If you need a little more hydration and radiance in your routine, this is without a doubt the item that you need to get your hands on and add into your makeup routine. If you are an overly oily person, please do a little research before spending your cash.

I hope that you liked this blog post about this Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer. This gives you the little additional push that you need in order to get your hands on it. I really do love this product and I know that I will continue to use it for so long. It has done wonders for my skin how my makeup applies. As normal, please do leave me a comment down below and let me know your thoughts. Have you tried this out? Would you like to finally get around to trying this out for yourself?
