Today’s blog post is going to be all about the makeup in my handbag. As I am sure most of you guys know, I adore makeup. I love how it makes me feel. For that reason, I wear makeup almost every day. Especially when I am heading to work because I want to look socially acceptable.

That means that I need to carry a little makeup in my handbag in case I need a touch up. In this post, I am going to share the key items that I carry with me. These things can save me from the most intense makeup meltdowns. Honestly, I think these are the same items I have been carrying for years and that just shows that I adore them and reach for them so much.

The Makeup In My Handbag

Cover FX Total Cover Crème Foundation

If I am having a full makeup meltdown, this is the item that I am going to be reaching for without a doubt. For example, if I have a tearful day, I will reach for this to touch up. It is a high coverage cream foundation that hides just about everything. Whether it be my pigmentation damage or freckles, this stuff hides it all. I actually fear like they are discontinuing this item and I will be crushed. This is such a fantastic item and I truly love it. I think that this is such an unsung hero product and I wish more people knew about it. I must have had one of these in my collection for the past 5 years!

Duo Eyelash Glue

I wish that I didn’t, but I wear eyelashes every day. The first time I wore eyelashes I was 15 and I was going out with my friends. I realised that my eyes looked one million times better with lashes, so I started wearing them daily. It is one of those slippery slopes though. Now, when I don’t wear eyelashes, I feel like my eyes are near on impossible. Even though I have been wearing them for over a decade, every now I still had a bad lash day. Halfway through my day at work, I may need to take them off and attempt to put them back on again. Not always ideal because it can mess up my liner or shadow. But, if they are positioned and stabbing me, I need to do it again.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder

There is no denying that I am an oily gal. Regardless of what I put on my skin or how I prime it, I get oily. That is why I need a setting powder and a brush at all times. I carry my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and a Morphe E48 every single day. Normally, once or twice throughout my working day, I will just take the smallest amount of power and blot away. Within an instant, this powder takes away all of my skin. Most importantly, it does it without caking up the skin and making it look heavy. I have tried many powders over the years, but this is the powder that I have stuck with for many years.

MAC Stripdown Lip Liner

Believe me when I say that I have tried to stop using MAC Stripdown. There is just something so incredibly wonderful about this colour. I feel like for somebody like me with a medium/tan skintone, this is the world’s most ideal shade. Honestly, this just has the most perfect balance and that is why it is literally my ride or die. It is actually quite embarrassing how battered my tiny pencil of this looks. It is probably only an inch long at this stage and I need to get another. I think that regardless of skin colour or tone, you should try this out. There really is a reason that this is a holy grail product by MAC. I will admit that MAC liners are a little drying on the lips, but that is nothing that a little slick of something cannot fix.

Fenty Tinted Lip Balm

I really do think that I have the driest lips in the world and it kills me. I dream of having the big and plump lips that you see online. For that to become a reality, I need to make sure that I am moisturising my lips all the god damn day. My lip balm of choice at the moment is the Fenty Lip Balm. I think that the main thing that I truly adore about this is that it is tinted. I can still use my lip liner and fill using this, then I am good to go. My lips are nice and hydrated for a few hours when I use this. I then just touch up a few times, as and when I feel like I need it. I would recommend it to anybody.

Simple Makeup Remover Wipes

Every now and again, especially in the warmer months when my allergies are running wild, I need wipes. Some days, I simply cannot wear makeup. That normally involves me running into the ladies room at the office with my Simple wipes and I remove all of my makeup. I know that wipes are horrendous for the environment. Honestly, I only use them once in a blue moon when I really need to get my makeup off. I can’t exactly take my Face Halo and Elemis Balm around with me. A complete essential for me and I really do think thtat most people should carry them. Or you at least need to have something, just in case something does happen.

I hope that you guys liked this blog post. I know that no matter what the day is going to throw at me, these products will see me through. I think that everything works well for me and perfectly through all seasons. I can honestly vouch for all of these items and I would recommend you go ahead and pick up these products. I will pop a link to the items that I keep in my handbag down below. Please do leave me a comment and let me know some of the products in your handbag. I have been using these for such a long time, it may be a perfect time for me to try out something new!
