It is time for another makeup blog post, and this is all about the makeup that I would recommend. As I am sure you guys know, I love makeup. All things makeup and I buy it like it is going out of fashion. I thought that for today’s blog post I would share the items that I would recommend. These are the things that have worked for me and that I think would work for you.
Every single one of the items mentioned in this blog post have been purchased multiple times by me. I think that really is the sign of a true favourite, how much you have bought it. If you have read my blog for some time, the chances are that you will have seen me talk about these products. That just shows how much I really do love them, here is the makeup I would recommend!
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream.
The first item that I am going to mention in this blog post is one that I have loved for a very long time. I can remember first trying this when Charlotte Tilbury was first on the scene. I had no idea what justified this product costing £70, but I wanted to try it out. Needless to say, all of these years later, I am in love. There have been periods that I have trailed something else and I feel like my skin has instantly known about it. This not only moisturises my skin, it evens out my complexion and helps to brighten my skin!

Hourglass Veil Foundation Sticks.
For the longest time I moved away from this foundation. I think it was just because I tried so many other things, this just continued to move further to the back of my drawer. Regardless of that, I found this back out and I fell in love. The reasons why I love this Hourglass Foundation Stick are very simple. This is creamy, easy to blend and it has amazing staying power. Not to mention that the shade range by Hourglass is phenomenal. Plus, because this is a traditional foundation stick, I can apply this in absolutely no time at all!
Â
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer.
I know that generally speaking, Tarte Shape Tape has had its day. However, my dark circles still call for something has heavy duty as this. Honestly, sometimes I even have to use two layers of this to get the right amount of coverage. Over the years, I have tried out so many different concealers and it is still the Tarte Shape Tape that I come back to. It is wonderful and creamy. When used with a damp Beauty Blender I never feel like it cakes up on the skin. Such a fantastic product and I simply adore it.
Â
Fenty Cream Bronzer.
I first bought this cream bronzer, purely for the reason that I felt like the only person in the world who hadn’t tried it out. Needless to say, as soon as I tried it, I fell in love. I reach for this on days when I want my makeup to last all day long and apply in no time at all. I take a big buffing brush, dip it into the product and then work it into my base products. It takes literally no time at all and always looks flawless. With his product, I never feel like it has displaced my foundation and that is what I need from a cream contour/bronzing product.
Â
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.
You guys will already know all about the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, but I still needed to mention it. I have been using this translucent setting powder for the best point of a decade. My makeup is locked in place and I know that I am not going to have a makeup meltdown throughout the day. It is a truly fantastic item that has stood the test of time. Not only in my own makeup collection, but in the collection of so many of my peers that also love makeup like I do. The only other product that has come close is the Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder.
Â
Vieve Essentials Eyeshadow Palette.
As soon as I saw that Jamie Genevieve was coming out with an eyeshadow palette, I knew I needed to own it. This is without a doubt makeup I would recommend. You cannot look at this palette and see a shade that I will not get used. Pretty much every single morning I reach for this Vieve Essentials palette and I adore it. There are all of the tones that you could ever need and for me, that is all I want. I really abuse the mid-tone brown and the deeper brown to achieve a smoky eye every single day. Such a fantastic palette and I look forward to using it for many years to come!
Â
Nars Climax Mascara.
Up next in the makeup I would recommend is a mascara. For so many years, I tried to say that I would never buy a high-end mascara. I couldn’t see how a high-end mascara could differ from one that I could pick up from Boots for only a couple of pounds. That was before I bought the Nars Climax mascara and now I feel like I am eating my words. The volume and lift that I get from this Nars mascara is like nothing that I have ever used before. Each morning, I go in with two thin layers of this and my lashes are lifted to the heavens. Such an amazing product!
Â
Refy Brow Kit.
Last but by no means least is the Refy Brow Kit. I actually cannot remember why I ever bought this. My guess it was because of Alanah Davison on YouTube. I now use this daily, in particular the brow gel. Once my base is locked in place, I will apply a slick of this through my brow hairs. I then leave it to dry down for a couple minutes. Then, I will use my Urban Decay Brow Blade to draw in individual brow hairs where there are any sparse areas. For me, this is the best brow item that I have used in a very long time.
As always, I would love to hear from you guys. Please do leave me a comment below. This is the makeup I would recommend. Let me know if you have heard of these products or tried them out for yourself. As I mentioned, these are the makeup items that are tried and true for me.
The quality of them all is exceptional, and I wouldn’t think twice about spending my cash on them. I will pop some links down below to these items in case you would like to go ahead and check them out for yourself. Where I have a full review for these items, I will link that above.
