I am a creature of habit. Because of that, I watch the same shows over and over again. Some people may find it boring. But I find comfort in it. There is no anxiety in rewatching the same shows. Which is why whenever I am in the market for a new boxset, instead of watching something new, I think about my old favourites. In this post, I am going to share all of the shows that I always rewatch. Good old favourites that I adore and love to spend time binge watching and I will give you some of the reasons why I love them so much…

The Vampire Diaries.

I watched a few episodes of this show when I was younger when it was first released. I think I watched it up until the end of season 5 when Damon went to the other side. I had a breakdown and couldn’t bring myself to watch anymore. I rewatched the entire series twice in 2022 and fucking hell, I am a sucker for that show. Or should I say, a sucker for Damon Salvatore. I do love the show, but fuck me, I adore that man.

Ghost Adventures.

My true guilty pleasure in life is Ghost Adventures. One day I was bored as hell and I had paid for a Discovery Plus account, so I decided to make the most of it by watching a few episodes of Ghost Adventures. I thought that I would find it hilarious to see grown men running around in the dark trying to find ghosts. But bloody hell, I fell in love. It is amazing some of the things that they do and find. It might all be bullshit, but they have me hook, line and sinker if so.

The US Office.

When I was younger, the UK office was huge. Everybody seemed to be talking about it, but I found it boring. Low and behold a few years later I found the wonder that is Michael Scott. I binged all 10 series within a few months, and I fell in love. I think what made it so much more wonderful is that while I was watching this ‘will they, won’t they’, storyline with Jim and Pam, I was living my own ‘will they, won’t they’, with my now husband. He even got me  valentine’s day card a few years that said, “You’re the Pam to my Jim”… swoon…

New Girl.

A couple of years ago, I went out with a friend for dinner. From there, we planned a double date with out other halves for the first time. As soon as she met my husband, she said that I HAD to watch New Girl. I didn’t get why at the time. But I did it anyway. Within around 4 episodes I understood why… I married Nick Miller. My husband is everything that Nick Miller and she clocked it in him straight away. I have even made my husband watch a few episodes and he hasn’t been able to disagree with the similarities.

Parks and Recreation.

The first time I watched Parks and Recreation, I wasn’t in love. But it was an easy watch, so I decided to give it another go. By the time I was on the second season, I was completely hooked. I love how light-hearted it is, every character is amazing and there is never any stress. I feel like I am a cross between Ron Swanson and April Ludgate. Two dry, sarcastic and pretty intimidating characters. I love everything about this and that is why it is one of the shows that I always rewatch.

Will and Grace.

Anybody that knows me knows that Will and Grace is like a religion to me. I grew up watching this with my mother. Then when I was a teenager, me and my best friend Jordan (who is gay) rediscovered it together. Him and I are like the UK version of Jack and Karen. Everything about the show I adore and as I rewatch it, the older that I get, the more I fall in love with it.

As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this post about the shows that I always rewatch. I think I have probably mentioned these shows before because they are my good old favourites. Everything about these shows I adore. So many people tell me that if I dare to watch something new, I may discover a new favourite. But I am happy with these good old favourites. As always, I want to hear from you guys on this. Do you have any shows that you always rewatch? If so, leave me what they are below and I will may give them a watch for myself.
