Just like many people out there, 2020 was the year that I discovered TikTok. On that humble social media outlet, I heard about CeraVe. I am pretty sure that I had heard of this skincare brand before. Simply because they sell it on Asos. Other than that, the brand was completely new to me.
I wasn’t seeing many people on YouTube using this. Nor was people really talking about it in the blogging world. But, I did keep hearing about this brand over on TikTok. So, I did what any beauty and skincare lover would do, I logged straight online and bought whatever I could get my hands. Today, I am going to sit down and have a chat to you about one of the products which is the CeraVe Facial Moisturiser…
What difference has this made to my skin?
I think that the main thing that I need to talk about in this blog post is what kind of difference this item has made to my skin. My skin is quite clear and I feel lucky in general. I have quite a combination skin, which is mildly oily around my nose, but a pretty dry forehead. I wanted this CeraVe Facial Moisturiser to be used all over the face. Since I have been using this, I have seen an improvement for both the dry and over oily areas. The dry areas are now much more supply and it looks more youthful and healthy. Then with the oily areas, I have noticed a deduction in the amount of oils, which is something that I did not expect.
How do I feel like this has worked with other skincare?
Like with many people out there, this is not the only skincare item that I have in my collection.Nor the only item that I use at a time. I have really got into skincare over the past year. As there has not been much else to do in the world of the pandemic. Since getting into my groove with my skincare, one thing that I hate is when all of the products do not work together. You end up with that awful balling up of product. Since using this CeraVe product, I have used it with all of my other normal skincare items including creams, lotions and serums. I have found that each and every single time, this product works absolutely amazing. My skin looks great by the end of my regime. This is something major for me.
What about value for money?
Time to speak about value for money. As much as I am a sucker for all kind of makeup and skincare items and I do spend ridiculous money on everything. I still like to think that I am getting good value for money. CeraVe in general is a very low-priced brand and this specific Facial Lotion set me back around £9. I have to say, I find this completely amazing because I am used to paying £75 for my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. Not to mention the astronomical amounts for my La Mer ‘The Cream’ depending on what size tub I go for. For the price, if you are looking for something to hydrate your skin, I don’t think that there is anything else like it on the market that has this level of quality.
Would I replace my other skincare with this?
When I picked up this item and added it to my ever-growing skincare collection. I did have to ask myself just how many moisturisers do I actually need in my collection. I am a sucker for all things hydration thanks to my never ending efforts to try and keep my youthful skin. So I had a think about whether this could replace any of the other moisturisers in my collection. Rather than just adding yet another item. As much as I do simply adore this CeraVe Facial Moisturiser, I do still think that I need the other moisturisers. That is because they are much heavier formulas. I do feel like I need that when hydration is massively lacking. This CeraVe product though, I do believe is a great everyday moisturiser. That is how I have been using it for the longest time.
Would I recommend this to others?
This is a question that I always think long and hard about before I put anything out there on the internet. That is because if I am recommending people go out and spend their hard-earned cash on an item, based on my recommendation. I want to make sure that I am 100% behind the product. After using this now for around 6 months, I would recommend this item to other people. I don’t even think that it depends on your skin type, this is just a great moisturiser to help balance out your skin as part of your skincare routine. Or to prep your skin for you to go in with your foundation. I have told many friends and family members to go ahead and pick this up!
I hope that you guys liked this blog post and getting to read all about this CeraVe Facial Moisturiser. Do I think that this has been a great addition to my skincare routine? Yes. I look forward to using it and loving it for many years to come. Really, I think that for the price at around £9 per bottle, it is an item. I think that the quality is amazing, I am really looking forward to trying out more by the brand. Especially if the quality and value for money is as closely matched like this. Please do leave me a comment. Let me know if you have tried this product and what you thought about it!
