A couple of months back I was having a good old clear out of my makeup collection and I stumbled upon the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation. I can remember when these were first released, and I saw Jaclyn Hill using them on her YouTube channel and within an instant I was logging onto the Space NK website and I bought 4 different shades without hesitation.

I have always been a sucker for a stick foundation because they are so quick and easy to use. These Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundations quickly became my number one foundation and I don’t even want to hazard a guess at how many of them I purchased during my long love affair, but I have fallen in love with them all over again and I thought that I would sit down today and share with you guys some of the reasons why I love them!

 

 

Coverage. 

The first thing to mention about this Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation is the amazing level of coverage. If I am wearing makeup, I want to be full coverage, or I simply do not see the point. This Hourglass Foundation is essentially a stick of pure pigment and I adore that. With a high level coverage product like this, you have the option to sheer it out using other products or tools if you want, but there is no denying that off the back it is high coverage and it fairs up perfectly with my pigmentation and dark circles!

 

Easy to Use. 

The reason why I absolutely adore stick foundations is just because they are so quick and easy to use. As much as I love a good glam, I also just love throwing products onto my face and my makeup being done with, especially first thing in the morning when I just need my face on so that I can run out of the door. Literally with this product I just scribble a few lines around my face, take my Beauty Blender and pounce it on my face a couple of times and then I am good to go. No effort is required.

 

Shade Range. 

Obviously, these days, when a new foundation is released, one of the first things that we all do is check out the shade range to see if it is inclusive or not. A couple of year back when this Hourglass Foundation was first released it was not something that talked about in the first instance, but Hourglass were still paving the way and they came out with an impressive 40 shades with a great range of shades and undertones. I have many friends that are WOC and all of them have been able to find a good match with this product.

 

How It Looks on The Skin. 

The main thing that I adore about this Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick is that the longer this is on the skin, the better it looks. Granted, this product looks flawless from the very first moment that it is applied, however I think that as your skin warms the product up a little and your natural oils begin to work with the product, it creates something absolutely stunning on the skin. I feel like I cannot be the only person who likes when this happens with products and when it happens with this Hourglass, it is perfection!

 

How It Pairs with Other Items. 

This is a really big thing for me when it comes to new products. That is how it works with my other favourite products. Just to use a product, I do not want to sacrifice other products. I have used this Hourglass Stick Foundation with pretty much every other product in my collection. Never have I had an issue with a single product. They always merge together really well. Plus, they look great on the skin. I have used this with all of my go to primers, concealer and powders and this looks perfect every single time!

 

Honestly, I think that if you have been thinking about this foundation, you need to add it into your collection. The formula for this stick foundation will take some beating. I think that this will remain in the top spot of my makeup collection for many years to come. Not to mention that I always get so many compliments on my makeup whenever I wear this item.
