This is going to be a blog post all about the Benefit Goof Proof Pencil. I bought this because my Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil had run out and they didn’t have my shade. So, I thought that I would just grab something else by Benefit. Little did I know at the time that this would end up being a product that I would use and love for many more years. That is why I wanted to sit down and chat with you guys about this today. I know that most of you will have heard about this Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil before. It is not a new product by any stretch. But it is something that I think is going to be a constant in my collection and that is why it deserves a blog post.

The shape of the product.

The first thing that I want to have a chat about in this blog post is the shape of the product. That is because this is quite a thick nib compared to some of the other products that are on the market. I am a sucker for the Benefit Precisely My Brow and the NYX Micro Brow Pencil. Both very small and precise nibs, so this was something quite different. I really did have to get used to it for a couple of days. Even though with this, you can not get those individual hair-like flicks. It does mean that you can get your brows on in no time at all without having all the faff of fluffing up the brows and making them look perfect and editorial.

 

The shade range.

When it comes to eyebrow products and for a feature that is such a prominent feature on your face. I like to make sure that I have the right shade and that my brows are not going to stick out like a soar thumb. I find that this range of eyebrow products is really great for me and I have a pretty good shade match. One thing that I will say is that on me, all of the products seem to be pretty cool-toned. Which is what I look for, but I get that it probably does not make them versatile for a wide range of people. I think that the range could probably do with a couple of the gaps filling throughout to cater for warmer tones!

 

How it applies.

As I am sure you guys may have noticed, I like any product that is super easy to use and that I can throw on my face in a hurry. That is why I always opt for eyebrow pencils over anything else because I am a pro with them and I can scrawl them on my face within a matter of minutes. The thing with this Benefit Goof Proof Pencil is that it is super creamy and pigmented, it glides through the hairs without any issues and it looks absolutely fantastic. I have worn this hell of a lot over the past couple of years including over the top of my foundation, on top of bare skin and on super slick holiday skin and the pigmentation is always there and the product works just how I would like it to, every single time.

 

How it lasts.

With any product that I am putting on my face, I need it to last all day long. I tend to get ready around 6am in the morning. On a good day I get into my ensuite and take my makeup off around 10pm at night. My products to last for a good 16 hours, if not more. I can say that I have worn this product through my eyebrows and been caught in a snowstorm. They are still absolutely perfect. It really does take my makeup remover before this Benefit Goof Proof Pencil starts to break down. If I was back in the day of freelance, this would have been an item that I would have liked in my kit.

 

Why I continue to repurchase.

As I mentioned earlier on in this blog post, I never meant to purchase this product. I only bought it as a second option. But the fact that I have continued to buy it really does speak volumes. This is the product that I reach for when I know that I want to get my face on sharpish and I don’t have the time to make my brows like a renaissance masterpiece. I know that because of the shape of this I am not going to have accidents, it will not take forever and a day to apply and it will last for me all day long. It is a truly amazing item and one that I really don’t want to be without because more mornings than now, I am rushing about before I head into work and I need to have my makeup done sharpish!
