As I have often shared here on my site, one of my favourite things to do is pack up my things and travel. I don’t think that anything really compares to what you can gain when you travel and see a little more of the world. And as much as I adore my husband, sometimes I love to spend time seeing new things with my girls. They tend to be very different trips that I go on with my other half and in this post, I thought that I would sit down and share some of my favourite places that I have visited on a break with the girls.
Paris.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my husband and I didn’t like Paris the first time we went. It feels like we fell into a series of unfortunate events, and we didn’t have a great time. However, it was one of my good friends that convinced me to go back with her, in the height of summer for a girl’s weekend. We drank wine, ate fancy food, went to Crazy Horse, stayed in a crazy hotel and shopped like crazy!
Â
Ibiza.
I think that the quiet side of Ibiza is ideal for people to travel to with their other halves. Then the louder, party side is the perfect place to head with your friends. Especially if you are the kind of friends that like to let their hair down. I can’t even recall the number of crazy girls holidays that I have been on over the years and without a doubt some of the best were on the island of Ibiza.
Â
Tuscany.
As I mentioned above, I am all for romantic breaks away with my friends, but I also like to spoil my friends in the same way. The first time that I went to Tuscany with my husband, I couldn’t help but think that it would be the perfect place to travel to with my friends. I can remember seeing different thing and trying copious amounts of wine and knowing that it was the kind of place that I had to head back to with the girls. We headed out, rented a villa and had the week of our lives!
Â
Amsterdam.
Don’t get met wrong, I love Amsterdam with just about any company, but I think that there is something really special about being there with friends. My friends and I first went years ago. We actually got the ferry there from Hull and it was a few of the craziest days of my life. The kind of laugh that you can only really have with good friends. God, looking back it was a messy old weekend but one that I will absolutely never forget.
Â
Provence.
I first travelled to Provence with one of my friends. She was going through a breakup at the time and had the trip planned with her boyfriend. Naturally, I stepped up to the plate and went with her. Needless to say, we had the most wonderful time. In the end, we both decided that it was a place for a girl’s trip rather than taking our significant others. We stayed in an old chateau, enjoyed beach clubs, went to a vineyard and ate more French bread than I can recall.
As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this place and learning more about some of my favourite places when I am with the girls. Just like I mentioned above, I don’t think that anything really compares to travelling and seeing more of the world. And getting to share that with your closest friends really is the most wonderful thing. As always, I would love to hear from you guys in the comments below. Where are some of your favourite places around the world and who do you like to share them with?
These are the perfect spots for making unforgettable memories with friends. Thanks for sharing these amazing destinations—I’m definitely adding some of these to my travel bucket list! xx
