The older that I get, the more I delve into the world of skincare. I am fearful of one day looking haggard and I am going to throw everything on my face to avoid that at all costs. Because of that, I have really delved into different skincare brands, an abundance of products and different techniques to apply them.

With that said, I thought that today I would sit down with you guys and talk to you about my go to skincare brands. These are the standout brands that I adore and find myself reaching for over anything else.

Charlotte Tilbury.

As with most people, Magic Cream was my first introduction into the Charlotte Tilbury range of skincare. I have to be honest and say that I fell head over heels for that item and it made me want to get my hands on more. Since trying that, I have picked up the Night Magic Cream, Eye Rescue, Magic Serum and many more. Even though the products are on the pricier end of the spectrum, they are amazing and give myself a burst of hydration.

Inkey List.

This was a brand that was accidently forced upon me. I bought a bulk of makeup from Look Fantastic a while ago and I got a load of free skincare with it, including Inkey List. I tried their cleaner, toner and moisturiser. Fell in love with all of them and before I knew it, I was on their website picking up my own little haul. The products have been fantastic and I am completely in love with them. More than any other band, these are my daily go-to items that I love to use. One of my favourites at the minute has to be the retinol.

Ole Hendriksen.

Initially, Ole Hendriksen wasn’t a brand that I was instantly in love with. I think that being the kind of person that is all about aesthetics, I didn’t love the primary colour packaging. Snobby I know, but very true. That was until I actually went out and bought a few items to put them to the test. Needless to say, I loved the products. At the time, I can remember thinking that there was no difference between Ole Hendriksen and some of the other much higher end products that I have been trying.

La Mer.

When I was first started getting into makeup, La Mer was a brand that was in the forefront of my mind. Their makeup at the time was exploding and I kept seeing more about their iconic skincare item. The first thing I picked up was the Eye Cream Concentrate and even though I wanted to hate it, I fell in love. The love affair started from there. Slowly but surely, I began adding more items to my La Mer collection and I haven’t doubted a single penny that I have spent.

Augustine Bader.

This is the second boujee skincare item that I am going to mention, and I adore it just as much as La Mer. I was first introduced to this brand due to this brand due to the collaboration that they did with Vicotria Beckham many years ago. Then,I tried their serum, and the rest was history. I think many years ago, this was the first skincare brand that I truly thought made a difference to my skin and from there, I have been a loyal supported and I am yet to find something from the brand that I don’t love.

Clarins.

I can remember when I was younger, my aunty sat me down and give me a lecture about skincare. She saw me chiselling off my many layers of makeup with a Clinique face wipe and she gave me a firm telling off. She then delved into her own makeup bag and pulled out a hoard of Clarins and sent me away with them. Needless to say, some of my firm favourites remain to be Clarins. My all-time favourite is without a doubt the Double Serum that is a true favourite.

Beauty Pie.

I’m mentioning this one last because I get that it is a strange thing to buy things from Beauty Pie because you have to sign up to the membership. However, I’m going to be honest here and say that Beauty Pie make many different dupes for the brands that I have mentioned above. Some of my favourites are the cleansing balm, serum and eye cream. I just don’t love the membership programme of Beauty Pie.

As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and learning more about my go to skincare brands. As I mentioned, I was shit at skincare when I was younger. I hated doing it and found it boring. Plus, I never really found that much of a benefit to my skin when I was in a dedicated skincare routine. However, nowadays I am a skincare junkie.

These brands are the best of the best in my opinion, and I am loving how my skin is looking. As always, I will link below to some of the items that I have mentioned below. Leave me a comment and let me know what some of your skincare brands are.
