Today, I am going to be answering some FAQ’s. I get questions from people here on my blog, by email and in my Instagram DM’s. If I can, I will always get back to people. However, I have noticed that I have been getting these questions pretty regularly. So, I figured that I would write one post where I round everything up in one place. These are some of the questions that stood out to me.
Plus, these are the ones that I feel comfortable answering at the moment. Some of them are personal, others about my blog and then everything else in between. I hope that you guys enjoy this post where I open up a little more. I can already tell that I am going to have to do an FAQ’s part two because of how many questions I tend to get!
Where is my favourite travel destination?
Without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite travel destination will always be Italy. It doesn’t matter were in Italy, just Italy in general. My love for the place is exponential and it grows every time I go back. My end goal in life is to have a holiday apartment in Florence. That is why I work so hard and save everything that I can. I want to be an old rich lady, sitting a coffee by the Ponte Vecchio and shopping at Fendi. It is a pipedream, but we need to have goals!

What do I do for a living?
I have shared before, but so it is one place within the FAQ’s, I work in marketing. When I finished university early at the age of 18, I had no idea what to do. So, I went online and applied for random jobs. I ended up getting an office junior position at a small local business. However, I now realised that I lucked out. They saw potential in me and began to develop me. The steer that I was given was towards the marketing department and that guidance led me to have a very successful career. I am very fortunate for the direction I was provided.

How much have we spent on our house?
I did a post the other month all about how much we’ve spent on our home. The reason why I wrote that post was to be transparent about how much renovations can cost. It blew my mind when we bought our home just how much things cost. When I was living with my parents, I never had to know how much it costs to plaster a room. All in all, I think we at around £90,000. It is a staggering amount, but one that I am happy to pay because our house is a sanctuary and I love our space.

What did I change to gain a more positive mindset?
Over the last few years, my mindset really has changed. I feel like in my mid-twenties, I really fell into this hole of being a grumpy arse. I thought that it was comical to be this downcast and quite sarcastic character, but in time it got me down. I spent time just looking at myself and reflecting. What filled my cup and what drained me? I then set goals for what I wanted to achieve and the steps that I needed to take to get myself there. From that day, my mindset changed completely, and I have felt worlds better for it.
Â
What are my holy grail beauty items?
If I had to narrow it down to three items, it would be the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, MAC Full Coverage Foundation and the Nars Climax Mascara. The moisturiser makes me feel awake and my skin always thanks me for it. The MAC Full Coverage Foundation is so versatile, and you can build it up, sheer it down depending on what level of coverage you want. Plus, I cannot go a single day without mascara, so my tried and tested Nars Climax Extreme also deserved a mention.

When did I get married?
One of the most FAQ is about my marriage. I got married back in 2019 when my husband and I were 24/25. I can remember people being critical about how young we were, but I guess when you know, you know. Even though we were young, we had been together for around 8 years before the wedding, so we certainly weren’t rushing into anything. We had a very simple day that was inexpensive, but so full of love. We didn’t do any of the typical ‘traditions’ and we have had so many people it was the best wedding that they had ever been to.

How long will I continue to blog?
Up next on FAQ’s is how long I will continue to blog. The truth is that I just don’t know. This blog is something that I have been passionate about for many years. My plan is to write and share until I no longer want to. Why would I stop something that I enjoy doing? If I no longer want to do this, I will simply call it a day and hang up my writing gloves. I would like to think that I still have many years ahead of me. However, I never want to force it.
Â
Why do I blog?
I first started blogging back in the day because I wanted to share my opinion. My spending was crazy, and I was buying makeup like it was going out of fashion. I wanted to share with people if said item was a hit or a miss. So, I set up an old blogger site and began writing. Very quickly I realised just how much I loved it. My passion is writing in an informal and friendly way. Outside of my blog, I don’t know how I could apply that, but here on my little corner of the internet, I can write to my hearts content.
Â
Where do I live?
The next FAQ is about where I live. For obvious reasons, I am not going to specify exactly where I live. However, I will say that I live in the North of England. I do have to say that I don’t love the town where I live. I long for a more metropolitan lifestyle, but I don’t think I will ever move away. Our families are here, and they meant too much for me to ever move away. I wouldn’t quite say never, but certainly not through this next stage of our live. I can see the connection with our family deepening, and I want them around.

How many tattoos and peircings do I have?
Last up on my FAQ’s is tattoos and peircings. Ok, so this one was a hard one for me to calculate. I have 8 piercings. That includes my nose and basically all of my ears. I don’t think that I have anywhere left that I want to pierce, so I am tapped out with them. Then with tattoos, I have 16 of them. I started out quite slowly, but then last year, I went crazy with them. My vibes for tattoos is lots of small doodles, a little like Miley Cyrus and Zoe Kravitz. I also have a long list of others that I want to get. My favourite has to be the anatomical hearts which were a Da Vinci drawing.
As always, I hope that you guys enjoyed this FAQ’s post. I really want you guys to understand me a little more and get to know me. For me, there are people that I follow online that I would love to connect to and have a conversation with them. Hence why I thought my blog had a place for a post like this. If you do have any other questions, leave them below in the comments below and I will answer them in FAQ’s part two. Or I will just pop an answer to you in the comments. Hopefully I will be able to schedule that in over the next few weeks. There is never a question that you can’t ask. If I am ever uncomfortable with something, I will simply not answer!
