We are in the midst of the summer, and I couldn’t not be happier about it. I am a sucker for all of the seasons, but the warmth has my heart. I feel more energized at this time of the year and to be honest, more like myself. Throughout the winter months my personality hibernates and then I flourish as soon as the sun comes out.
For that reasons, I made myself a summer time to do list. Packed with all of the things that I want to do while the weather is nicer and I want to be out of the house. So, if you want to see my summertime to do list, please keep on reading.
Get out of the house more.
I am a homing pigeon. I love to spend time on my own, in my wonderful house. When I do go out, I have to literally talk myself into it and then tear myself from the sofa. But on my summertime to do list is to leave the house a little more. To start saying yes to people more and just enjoy my time out and about. It might just be a coffee date with my friend or a night out on the town. Regardless, I just need to do more of everything!

Invite more people around to our home.
We bloody love our home. Not only that, but we have worked fucking hard on it since we got the keys back in 2019. Now that the interior is in a place that we are happy, we need to show it off. The thing with me is, I look around and just see everything else that I want to do. Very rarely do I see how far it has come and feel pride that as it is, the house is bloody beautiful. Now I want to begin to share this incredible home with the people that we love.

Landscape the garden.
If you have been reading my page for some time, you will know that our home has been a journey. It has taken hell of a long time to get it where it is today. But one area that has been neglected throughout is the garden. But this year we want to create a lovely place to sit and enjoy the heat. We have set some budget aside and we are hoping to get artificial grass, some new furniture and then small touches to make it more in keeping with our home.

Scale back on work.
When I get in a good rhythm with work, I just cannot stop. But that means that it encroaches on my personal time away from the office. In the coming months as part of my summertime to do list, I want to create firm boundaries. I want to leave work in the office and not think about it outside of the workplace. It is always going to be easier saying that then doing it, but I think this is the right year to give it a try.

Travel to the south coast.
I cannot believe that I am going to admit this, but I have never been to south coast. Because I live in the North of England, my go to seaside places as a kid were the likes of Whitby and Scarborough. The south coast for me is a good 7-hour drive away. But after the pandemic, everybody I know visited the south coast and told me that I need to go. Before the summer weather passes, I want to head down there with my husband and the dog for a week or so.
As always, I hope you guys enjoyed reading my summertime to do list. Most of these things I think I am well underway with. For some reason, every now and again I just get so comfortable at home that I never want to leave. I know that nothing that I have mentioned is huge or lifechanging, but it is nice to see it wrote down. I am the kind of person that loves to have something to strive towards. A good old to do list really does that for me. As always, leave me a comment below and let me know if you have a summer time to do list. And if so, what kind of things are on there?
