You guys should know by now that when there is a foundation been mentioned by all of the big influencers, I am going to have to get my hands on it. That is why I rushed out and picked up the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation Stick.

The reviews that I saw online for this foundation were unlike any other product that has been released recently. I had to pick it up, try it out and see for myself if it really was worth the incredible hype that it seems to be getting online.

 

Why I wanted this product.

Just as I mentioned above, whenever there is a product getting exponential amounts of hype online, I need to get my hands on it and try it out for myself. It is a sad truth that these days, especially in short form video content, it can be hard to see what is paid content, or what is completely impartial. As I have always said here on my site, I don’t accept gifting, I don’t accept payment, and all thoughts are completely my own. I am simply a makeup lover that wants to put out a very honest opinion.

 

The packaging.

I know that many people don’t care about packaging because it is all about the product. Which I do understand. However, when I am paying premium prices for a product, I want the packaging to at least reflect the price point. With that said, I couldn’t be happier with this Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation. The packaging is luxurious, easy to use and makes touching up or application on the go incredibly easy. Plus, when this product is lined up with my other high-end foundations within my collection, it looks right at home!

 

How it applies.

Just like the countless videos that I saw online, this Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation glides onto the skin like warm butter on toast. It is so beautiful, smooth and so slick that it never feels like it is tugging or pulling at the skin as you apply. Then as the warmth of your skin warms through the product, it allows it to blend in with ease. Because of this, I have thoroughly enjoyed using it recently because I am hugely into textures and how things feel. This Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation really does tick all of my boxes in terms of the consistency and how it applies.

 

The coverage.

For me, I would say that this is a medium coverage. Great for an everyday basis, however if I was heading on out and I really wanted to pack a punch with my makeup, I would either need additional products or to go in with multiple layers. However, let’s be real, as a new mom that primarily sits at home and doesn’t so all that much, this is more than enough for me. From time to time I have built the coverage of this up, just so I can see what I can potentially get out of the product and it always hits the spot.

 

How it lasts on the skin.

just with every foundation that I have tried, i need it to be applied first thing in a morning before I head into work, and I still need it to look just as good in the evening or when I am coming to remove it. I can confidently say that after wearing this foundation for a food number of weeks, this foundation does just that. Many times, I have said here on my site that I love a foundation that looks better throughout the day as my natural oils begin to work in through the foundation and powder. With this product, that is the case.

 

How it compares to other foundations.

If you are a makeup lover like I am, then I am sure you guys will know that there are some fantastic foundations in the market at the minute. To name a few there is the Haus Labs, Nars Radiant Longwear, Vieve Complexion Balm and the Makeup By Mario Surreal Skin. When I think about those items that I love and that work fantastically for my skin, this Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation is comfortably up there within the ranks.

 

How it pairs with my favourite base products.

when putting any new foundation through the ringer, I make sure that it is going to work with my other beloved base products that are tried and tested. For me, it doesn’t matter how fantastic an item is, if it doesn’t work with those key items that I love, it won’t go into my daily rotation. However as I am sure you guys can tell from my gushing that this product just works, and it works with all of my favourite items.
