It is time for a new beauty review and I thought that today I would sit and talk to you guys about a perfume that has been around for as long as I can remember and that is the Chanel Coco Noir Perfume. For as long as I can remember, I have loved Chanel No5 and I have no plans on quitting that habit anytime soon.

It was around my teenage years, especially when I was an avid user of Tumblr, I used to see this perfume in so many stunning photographs and flat lays, so that instantly made me want to pick this up and try it out for myself. I have had this perfume now for an incredibly long time and now that I have all of my thoughts together.

What are the notes of this perfume?

I feel like before I get into this blog post, I need to mention that I am a lover of all things fragrance. For as long as I can remember, I have bought perfume with my pocket money and now-a-days, I love nothing more than finding a new perfume that I adore. The most obvious notes of this perfume for me at grapefruit and bergamot. From there, I get rose, jasmine, sandalwood and tonka bean. I think that there are a few more notes listed in the official write up, but these are what I take from the fragrance when I apply this item. Each of the notes combine to make a very deep and musky perfume, yet you get hits of lovely hints of lighter tones throughout which combine it to be a real winner if you are a fan of deep scents.

How intense is it when you apply?

As much as I love the scent of this perfume and the notes that it has, one thing that does get me about the Chanel Coco Noir is that it is very intense when you apply. Normally when I apply my perfume, I will pop one spray on each side of my neck and that is enough for me to get the scent of my perfume, without me going overboard. I know that to some people, two sprays of perfume is just not enough, but trust me when it comes to the Chanel Coco Noir, you would not want any more. This is such an intense perfume that as soon as I apply it to myself, it feels quite overwhelming to my senses. I normally end up with streaming eyes and sneezing for the first five minutes.

How does it last throughout the day?

I always find that when it comes to perfumes, they never tend to last very well on me. Because of this I always tend to reapply so much throughout the day and I have to carry a full bottle of perfume with me. When it comes to this Chanel Coco Noir and even just with the two very light sprays, I can smell this on me all day long. It is one of those scents that throughout the day, the scent does seem to dissipate on me ever so slightly, but then I may brush my hair over my shoulder or move a little quicker and I will get a hint of it again and that is what I adore in a fragrance. I know that some people say if you cant smell a perfume on yourself, it is meant for you.

Will I repurchase this item?

I have enjoyed this perfume since I first purchased it, I am not sure if I would repurchase it. I have really loved using this. But, I feel like when it comes to my deeper scents from my collection, I am incredibly fussy. With the Chanel Coco Noir, I don’t feel like I have 100% found the perfume that I think will be a ride or die. But, this is a perfume that I get compliments on. Every single I use, which is always a wonderful feeling, especially when it costs you as much as this did, you want people to recognise it and a compliment is always an amazing thing!

I hope that you guys liked this blog post; getting to learn a little bit more about this amazing Chanel Coco Noir perfume. I find it very hard to speak about perfumes because I feel like they are super subjective things. What may work for me and the undertones which I can smell. May not be there for somebody else. As I mentioned, for me this is a very deep scent. I love it at certain times of the year. At others I find it just a little too strong for it to work for me. I would love to hear from you guys. If you have given this perfume a whirl, please do leave me a comment below!
