It is time for me to write a blog post about a makeup item that I have used and loved for a very long time. I cannot believe that more people are not using and absolutely loving this foundation. I can remember first hearing about this MAC Full Coverage Foundation on YouTube from a Wayne Goss makeup tutorial. This once upon a time was a pro product on MAC and you could only get your hands on it by going into a pro store.

Or by calling and placing an order over the phone. I placed an order over the phone and quickly after using it for the first time, I fell in love with everything about this product. I just cannot believe that more people don’t use this wonderful cream foundation. That is why I wanted to write this review for you guys today!

 

 

What do I think about the packaging?

I mentioned in my last blog post that I like to start out these blog posts by talking about the packaging. I do this in the first instance because it is the first thing that you notice about an item. For a cream foundation which is meant to be used by professionals. The packaging is just perfect. It is easy to open and can be held really easily whilst you are working on a client and it is super easy to use when at home. I will say that once when I did go travelling with this in my suitcase, the clear plastic did dislodge from the casing and wedge into the product, but it was nothing that couldn’t be fixed, just think on before you throw this in a packed suitcase!

 

What is the coverage like?

As the name would suggest, this item is a very full coverage foundation. When I wear this on a normal day, I will apply this to the skin using a traditional foundation brush. Then I take a damp Beauty Blender. I will just go over all of the product on the skin to ensure that it has been pushed into the skin. I do this to make sure that there is not too much product just sat on the surface of the skin. You can get this to be much sheerer by decanting a little of the product onto a palette or the back of your hand and mixing with a little moisturizer. If I was going to do this method though. I would probably just opt for another foundation that was designed for a lighter application.

 

How does it last on the skin?

When I am using a full coverage foundation like this, I have opted for something with so much pigmentation for a reason and that is because I either have an occasion that I am attending, or I know that I want my makeup to look flawless for as long as possible. Personally, I have worn this so much over the years. I can apply this at 6am in the morning. Then at 10pm at night when I get back home, with light powdering through the day, my skin is going to look just as good as it did first thing I the morning. I do feel like when use this foundation, I can get a little oily around my nose, but it is nothing that cannot be fixed with a touch of my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Powder.

 

How does this pair with other items?

I always like to briefly chat about how a product pairs with other makeup products. As I have mentioned before here on my blog. I wear quite a lot of thin layers of many different products. That means that I need them to all work well together. Not ball up or react against each other when they are on the skin. The thing that I adore about the MAC Full Coverage foundation is that everything that I have paired this cream foundation with has worked. I think the only thing that I would stay away from when it comes to this foundation is applying with a Beauty Blender. It can absorb quite a bit of the foundation. I think that this always works better with a brush.

 

What about value for money?

This MAC Full Coverage Foundation sets me back around £40 whenever I purchase one. I really do think that it is well worth the cash. One pan of this cream foundation can last me for around a year. If not longer. I think that is a testament to the amazing level of pigmentation of the product. It works truly amazing on the skin. I use this just on myself now and I think that it is great quality. I used this back when I was hustling at weddings and different events. The MAC Full Coverage Foundation was never something thought twice about parting ways with my cash for. The quality is second to none, pigmentation is great, vast shade ranges, and feels great
