I am a sucker for a good fragrance. Since a very young age, I have been in love with scent and how it can make you feel. I can always remember going into my parents bedroom when they were getting ready to go out. I would walk into a big cloud of fragrance, and I would instantly race to my mother’s vanity where her perfumes sat.

From there I would proceed to spray myself with an array of scents and she would get angry at me for wasting her favourite perfumes. As I got older, I realised the importance of fragrance and each birthday or Christmas, I would ask for the same thing… perfume. In this post I am going to share with you my go to perfumes. The ones that I simply cannot be without.

YSL Libre Perfume.

For a long time I used the YSL Black Opium perfume. I still think that is a stunning scent, but I wanted something that was slightly more mature. That is where the beautiful YSL Libre perfume enters the chat. Without a doubt, this is one of my go to perfumes. Generally speaking, on a day to day basis this is the perfume that I will be wearing. It is bold, rather strong and modern. Absolutely perfect for everything that I need. This perfume I recommend to everybody.

Valentino Donna Roma Perfume.

A few months ago, I wanted to get my hands on a slightly lighter fragrance. All of mine were pretty deep and sensual, but I wanted something a little lighter and softer. So, I headed into Flannels and decided to raid the fragrance hall. After telling a sales associate what I wanted, a lady directed me to the Valentino Donna Roma. As soon as I smelt it, I knew it was the one for me. I get hints of floral and woody notes, but underlaying I get a powdery scent that brings everything together and makes it wonderful and gentle. In my book this is a perfect everyday scent.

Chanel No5.

When I was growing up, I became obsessed with everything Chanel. With that said, I naturally wanted to get my hands on the Chanel No5 perfume. I asked for a bottle of it for my 14th birthday and I have had one sat on my shelf ever since. Some people associate this with an old lady perfume; however, I love that this is just classic. Whenever I wear this I get countless compliments from people. They never really know what the scent is, just that it smells good on me. Most cannot believe it when I tell them what it’s No5. Timeless and absolutely classic.

Killian Angel Share.

I can remember once walking through Harvey Nichols and I was attacked by a woman who worked at Killian. She sprayed this scent right at me and initially, I was pissed off. I was already wearing Chanel and I didn’t want it to be layered with another fragrance. But then I actually smelt Killian Angel Share and I fell in love. This scent is absolutely sensual and addictive. Whenever I wear this, my husband describes it as a sexy hot cross bun. Something that I have never been described as before, but I absolutely love it.

Le Labo Santal 33.

For such a long time I was seeing people online talking about the Le Labo fragrances. People were losing their minds over how amazing they were, so naturally I had to pick one up. In the end, I went with the cult classic, Santal 33. This is without a doubt the woodiest scent that I have in my collection, but I adore it. It is woody, and aromatic with a hint of spice to it. When it comes to a winter scent, this is always my go-to item because of its individuality and unique underlaying tone.

As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this post about my go-to perfumes. These are all absolute winners in my book. I know that some of the scents that I have mentioned in this post are incredibly expensive. I am not blind to the steep price tag, but I honestly wouldn’t mention them if I didn’t think they were worth every single penny.

These fragrances make me feel a certain way and I adore them all. As always, I will pop a link to the items that I have mentioned below. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think of my go to perfumes. What else should I check out?
