Today, I am going to be writing you guys another beauty review. This one is going to be all about the Huda Beauty Tantour. I am sure that since the release of this item a couple of years back, you will have heard all about out. If I remember correctly, when this was first released, it was absolutely everywhere, and everybody was talking about it.
I don’t know if that was down to the product itself or because of the weird name, but it got people talking. Anyway, I was interested in trying it out at the time, but before spending my money I wanted to know what other people thought. I used to like to be at the front of the queue, but I feel with age, I am now happy with been late to the party. Anyway, here is my review on the Huda Beauty Tantour.
Â
Why I wanted this item.
The main reason why I wanted this item is because I went through a period of my deeper contouring products breaking me out. I put it down to the contouring products being the issue because I would only get the breakouts along my cheekbones where I would aggressively contour. I wanted something new to try to see if the same thing happened. Not to mention that I had tried every other contouring product on the market and I just had to see for myself how this compared to them!
Â
The shade ranges.
From what I can see online, this Huda Beauty Tantour is available in around 6 different shades. One thing that I will say is that all of the shades are very deep. My friend has skin as white as porcelain and even the lightest of shades is too deep for her. It is not even just the depth of the shades, it is the undertone, most of them pull very warm which is great if you have a rich skintone. Even though I do think that there could be more shades in the range, it is nice to see the deeper end of the scale have over representation for a change!
Â
The consistency.
When you first take the lid of this product, you can see it as a solid block of product. That is fairly standard for a product of this nature. I then take my damp Beauty Blender and I dip it straight into the pan of product. From there, once that initial top layer of product has been warmed through, it has a much greater level of slip to it. From there, I blot the access off on the back of my hand or a palette and then I go straight in on the face. Because it does have that firmness to it initially, it prevents you from going in too hard straight off the bat.
Â
The coverage.
Even though this is not a product that is designed to provide coverage, I do look for it in any cheek product. As I have mentioned here on my blog before, I have hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. I don’t like to go in with too much foundation so that I look cakey, but I do like to use thin layers of multiple products. So, if products like this can give some extra coverage, I am always more than happy with that. I would say that this Huda Beauty Tantour gives a pretty medium coverage on the skin, which I like. It just means that my cheeks have a little extra protection on the areas that I need it the most.

How does this compare to similar items?
As I am sure you guys have seen, there are so many cream contours and bronzers on the market at the moment. I think in the past year alone, I can think of at least 5 that have hit the shelves. They are by the big brands too. Most of them, I have been lucky enough to try out and even better, most of them are fantastic products. When I think about how this Huda Beauty Tantour compares to them, I really don’t have anything negative to say about them. They all seem super creamy, easy to blend and they last well on the skin. If I did have to find a negative, I would say that the Huda Beauty Tantour can be a little stiff in comparison, but I also understand that to some, they may be a positive!
I hope that you guys liked reading this beauty review. As I mentioned above, there are many products like this on the market at the moment. Things actually seem to have gone absolutely crazy in the past year with cream bronzers and contours. To say that the market is saturated would be putting it pretty mildly. As I have said, this is a nice product. It has never broken up on me and I have never seen any issues with it. I would recommend this, but I would also suggest people trying out the Nars Cream Bronzer and the Anastasia. I will pop a link to this item below in case you guys would like to go ahead and check this out for yourself. Please do leave me a comment below. Let me know if you have tried the Huda Beauty Tantour and what you thought about it!
