It is time for me to sit down and share with you a new beauty blog post. Today, I am going to be talking all about my favourite foundations. Here on my blog, I have harped on about foundations forever and a day. The thing that I love about base products is that within an instant they are truly transformative.

Not to mention that they hide all of my imperfections that I am truly grateful for. I am sure that if you have visited my blog before, you will have seen me mention these items from time to time. I think that if there are items in here that I have already wrote about, it just shows that I really do love and use the items. Anyway, here are my favourite foundations.

My Favourite Foundations

KVD Good Apple Foundation.

I am starting this blog post with a foundation that is going to divide opinion. I am sure that much like myself, you guys heard about this foundation on Tik Tok. As soon as I saw the level of coverage, I had to try it out. Straight away after trying it, I fell in love. The coverage is amazing, great staying power, albeit a little oily. However, I read up on the blurb on the item and I knew that it was for hydrating dry skin. I love that this makes my skin look dewy personally and where I get too oily, I use my powder and I blot. No big deal at all. My favourite thing with this is that it is that full coverage, I can blend this into my skin in seconds!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Finish Foundation.

This is a foundation that I have really had to master. However, when I started to get it right, I fell in love with it. If I ever want a super full coverage look, I use this. I mean, genuinely this is just like pigment in a bottle. This hides all of my darkness, freckles and everything else in-between. If I go in with too much product, it can wash my features out, which I do not want. Not, I feel like I have the balance right between this item and my other products from my routine. Now I have that locked in, I love how this can look on the skin. This really does smooth me out like nothing else that I own.

It Cosmetics CC Serum.

This was an item that I didn’t know if I would like or not. I only picked this up because I saw so many people using and talking about it online. That and the fact that I wanted to move away from wearing a heavy foundation on a daily basis. My favourite thing about the It Cosmetics CC Serum is that it is wonderfully hydrating on the skin. Some may say that this can be oily or greasy on their skin, but for me it is nothing that a little translucent powder cannot help. Plus, I am on a mission to get as much hydration on my skin to prevent aging, so I don’t mind looking a little greasy!

Maybelline 24-Hour Super Stay Foundation.

For such a long time I didn’t try out this Maybelline foundation. I think that it was the secret snob within me. I didn’t think that a high-street product could possibly stand up to my high-end favourites. Oh how I was mistaken. I quickly fell in love with this foundation from the very first time that I used it. Straight away after application, I realised that I couldn’t tell a difference between this and my normal expensive foundation. Then, as the day went on, I could see things that were even better from its expensive counterpart. I have had one of these in my collection for a good few years now and I think I will for the foreseeable.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.

This was the first ever Nars Foundation that I tried. Since the day that I first tried this, I have tried every other Nars foundation that has hit the market. It is the Sheer Glow that I always come back to. There are so many reasons why this is a tried and true product for me. I think that the main ones have to be the coverage, the consistency and how it lasts on the skin. The thing that really sets this item apart is that it is one of those items that looks better and better as the day goes on. I have certainly enjoyed other Nars foundations in the past. One of my favourites been the now disctoninued All Day Luminous Weightless. However, this Sheer Glow is certainly used and abused for me.

MAC Full Coverage Foundation.

I may be mentioning this foundation last, but that most certainly doesn’t dictate a ranking order. Years back, I saw Wayne Goss talk about this on YouTube. I knew that day, I had to get my hands on it. Needless to say, after calling MAC (because you couldn’t order it online at the time), I was soon the owner of 5 different shades. This is a wonderful cream foundation. Has a high level of pigmentation, but can be sheered out or built up to your requirements. I have been using this for near on a decade now and I don’t think that I will be slowing down with it any time soon. This takes me minutes to apply using a great big buffing brush. It lasts all day long. Not to mention that it always looks amazing on my skin!

I hope that you guys liked this blog post about my favourite foundations. As I mentioned, there is a high chance that you have already seen me talk about these items before. These are the products that I just cannot be without. As soon as I get close to the end of a bottle, I always buy a spare one before I am completely out.

For me, I love a full coverage foundation, but I like my skin to still feel like it can breathe. It is hard to find a foundation that can do both, but these seem to do that for me. As always, I would love to hear from you guys. Please make sure to leave me a comment below. Tell me some of your favourite foundations and I will have to check them out for myself.
