It is time for a new beauty blog post here on my little corner of the internet. For this post, I am going to be reviewing the Nars Sheer Glow. I cannot believe that I am this far into my blogging life and I have not reviewed this item. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you may know that I am a sucker for Nars base products. That being said, I was reluctant to try out this Nars Sheer Glow for a very long time. I was seeing everybody using this online, but I was put off by the word ‘glow’ in the title because of my oily skin. In the end I gave in to peer pressure and I got my hands on this item. Anyway, here is my review on the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.
The packaging?
The first thing that I have to mention in this post is the packaging. I am sure that you guys may already know this about the Nars Sheer Glow, but it does not come with a pump. I don’t get what brands must be thinking about when they make an executive decision not to sell a pump as standard. In all of my years within the beauty community, I have never spoken with anybody that has said it is a good. I just begrudge paying more money for a separate pump!

The shade range?
One thing that I think Nars always hits the ball out of the park with is their shades. Even in the early days, well before it came the thing to do, Nars was catering for all. I have some friends with amazingly deep melanin and they always go to Nars if they are looking for a new high-end foundation. That being said, I too can find a perfect shade that I don’t have to alter to get the right undertone.
Â
How it applies?
I have to admit that the Nars Sheer Glow applies to the skin like silk. I am guessing that because it does have that element of glow to it, the product has a good amount of slip. With my Morphe buffing brush, I work in circular motions to really buff this in and get it looking seamless. Once it is sat on the skin, it does not look blatantly obvious that you are wearing a foundation and that is what I adore!
Â
The coverage?
I would say that as I apply this Nars Sheer Glow foundation with my Morphe buffing brush, I get a medium coverage. With just a touch more product that is pat on top of the first layer, you can get a really nice full yet natural coverage. This is perfect for me and what I look for in a foundation. I don’t want anything that can apply too heavy straight from the bottle. This really does tick off every single box on my list for a foundation.
Â
The longevity?
The final thing that I am going to talk about in this blog post is the longevity of the item. Since using this, I have found it hard to find items that last as good on the skin. This sits perfectly, does not get overly oily and seems to look better as the day goes on. When I set this in place using my Laura Mercier powder, I know that I have a winning combination. That is exactly what I want when I am heading out to work in a morning.
I hope that you guys liked reading this blog post. As I mentioned, the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is one of my favourite foundations. No matter what foundation I try out, it is the Sheer Glow that I come back to. The quality is amazing and it sits on the skin so well. The shade range is second to none and everybody I know can find a perfect match. Plus, the consistency is key and it is not overly glowing even on my oily skin. As always, I would love to hear from you guys. Please do leave me a comment and let me know if you have tried this foundation out. I would love to know what you think and if you think it is worth the cash!
