It is time for a new review here on my blog and this time it is going to be all about the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm. I am sure that if you are a makeup lover and wearer like I am, you will have heard of this product before. This is one of those items that has been on the market for quite some time and there is some stiff competition for it out there, but this is the product that I love to use to cleanse my face and I thought that I would share with you some of the reasons why.
I have been using this Clinique Take the Day Off Balm now for around 5 years and I don’t feel like I want to switch out my cleanser any time soon, so let me jump into the reasons why I love this!
Is it simple and easy to use?
The thing that I really love about this Clinique Take the Day Off Balm is that it is so simple and easy to use. I like to keep my whole skincare routine as simple as possible and for that reason, this product really did find a home in my bathroom cabinet. At the end of the day, I will pull off my lashes, just pat some water onto my face and then I take a small amount of this onto my fingertips and I begin to really work that into the skin. I make sure that I get every single centimeter of my face and you can start to see all of your makeup lifting from the skin and emulsifying. Then I take a damp Face Halo and I wipe away all of the residual product from the skin. I am then left with a completely fresh and washed complexion.
How does it make my skin feel?
The next thing that I want to talk about is one of the most important things to me and that is how does it make my skin feel after I use it. This really comes down to two things, I want my skin to feel super clean and fresh, but I do not want it to feel stripped and there is a very big difference there. Whenever I use this product, I feel like it does an amazing job at removing my makeup and I am left with skin that feels incredibly soft and smooth, I would even go as far to say that it slightly hydrated after I have taken my Face Halo and wiped away the residual product to reveal my super smooth and cleansed skin.
Does it remove all of my makeup?
I have said it before here on my blog and I will say it again, but I wear hell of a lot of makeup and I really pack that stuff onto my face and make sure that it is not going to budge all day long. That means that it can be pretty hard to remove at the end of the day. I feel like with this and just one application of it and working it into the skin, it lifts absolutely everything from my face. Which may seem like a given, but in reality some of the other cleansers that I have tried over the years, if I go around my face with a cotton pad and some Micellar Water after cleaning, it can still get off some makeup, but that is not the case with this Take The Day Off Balm.
Has it ever broken me out?
Something very important to talk about when it comes to any skincare product is if it breaks me out or not. For me, I feel like even though I have skin which isn’t overly sensitive, I do find that there are quite a lot of skincare products which can cause me to great breakouts, and I can almost always put it down to a certain product, just because I barely switch up my routine and for the most part my skin is very ‘normal’ and I don’t typically get breakouts. For me, the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm has never, ever broke me out which is a massively accomplishment in itself and one of the main reasons why I preach about this product and recommend it to absolutely everybody that I meat. But, I wouldn’t expect anything less!
I hope that you guys liked this blog post and if you are in the market for a new cleanser to remove your makeup, then look no further than this amazing product.
