There is a lot of conversation at the moment about the future of blogging. I have been doing this for around 10 years and I can see that the space has changed astronomically. Over the years, there have been many times when I have questioned whether to continue blogging or to quit. The time that I spend writing posts, taking pictures, being social, etc. didn’t weigh up to what I got back from my blog. However, after a short break back in 2019, I realised that I blog for me, not for what I get out of it. My blog is an outlet and somewhere for me to be creative. That being said, there are some bloggers that I always like to catch up with. Here are my 10 favourite blogs to read.
Inthefrow
I feel like I have a bit of a girl crush on Victoria Magrath. She may have actually been the first blog that I ever saw back in the day and she inspired me to create my own space. Her YouTube is out of this world, Instagram is to die for and her blog is so professionally run. She has such girl boss vibes and the fact that she does it all with her husband makes it even more wonderful. For me, Victoria content is very editorial and professional, however there is something very real about her that makes her relatable.

Lydia Elise Millen
This may be a strange one, as I have previously said that I can sometimes struggle with Lydia. I still feel like that is the case. For quite some time, mainly on YouTube, Lydia was a very aesthetic person, making luxury hauls on a regular basis. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t just Lydia doing that, there was a whole group of similar bloggers doing similar things around the same time. However, I think that sometimes the way Lydia showed this didn’t relate to her readers/viewers. There has been a recent shift though and now, the simpler life is something that I really admire her for embracing and I am absolutely here for seeing what she has to share.

The Londoner
One of the thing that I really love about The Londoner blog is that the imagery is so professional. Even though it is a broad mix of everything. From getting ready shots, to family pictures, holidays and so much more. The imagery on the posts is so wonderful and always looks ever so professional. It makes me enjoy her content so much more because I feel like I am really visualise things and I adore a good image to feel like it is putting you in the middle of the post. Check her and her wonderful posts out.

Wish Wish Wish
Similar to Victoria (Inthefrow), I have been reading Carries (Wish Wish Wish) for many years. Again, she really is somebody that inspired me to get into blogging. I feel like recently she has taken a break from her blog, but I would recommend people look through her old posts. They are fantastically written, the images are out of this world and I feel emersed in her lifestyle by reading the posts. I don’t think that anybody would ever come away from her online space feeling disappointed.

Lucy Mary
I have been reading Lucy’s posts for quite some time and I adore them. I know that if I have some spare time, Lucy will have something new and engaging for me to read. She talks about a wide variety of subjects, and I love that about her. She isn’t just in one sector, and I enjoy reading that content because it broadens my horizons. Plus, she shares hell of a lot about her CF and I appreciate the openness and honestness about her condition. That is why she earns a spot in my 10 favourite blogs.

Poppy Loves
If you want beautiful posts to digest, this is the blog that you need to visit. I think I found Poppy Loves by reading somebody else’s post, similar to this one that I am writing now. Somebody recommended her as a stunning place to visit and they were not wrong. With the subjects that she writes about, I feel like I love really similar things. When you find somebody that not only writes similar content to yourself, but inspires you to write more, you make sure that you keep coming back. Just as I do with Poppy Loves.

Jasmine Talks Beauty
Back when I started blogging, I was strictly a beauty blogger. I used to write about makeup, skincare and everything in-between. What I adore about visiting Jasmines blog is that she has stayed true to the beauty sector. If I am looking for an opinion on a new skincare item, the first place that I will look is Jasmines blog to see if she has tried it out. I think that if you seek somebodies opinion, they are doing something right. With the amount of people that comment on her posts, I can’t be the only person that loves her content!

Katie La Vie
Next on my list of 10 favourite blogs is Katie. I first saw Katie on Instagram and then after falling in love with her home interiors, I found her blog. If my memory serves me right, I started reading her blog around the time that her mum passed away. She wrote a truly wonderful post all about the grief and how she felt. It spoke to me as I had recently lost my grandfather that was more like my father. Since then, I love reading her content about her home, her career, her marriage, business, cat and so much more. It is just wholesome content, and I can imagine being her friend!

A Model Recommends
Ok, I found Ruth’s blog, I instantly fell in love with her content. What I adore is that she writes about very real things. Whether it is products, her family, her job, she speaks about everything so fantastically. Not to mentioned that there is always a funny anecdote thrown in and I can end up sat laughing at my laptop screen. Which is something that I cannot really say very often. If you do have time to visit her blog, go back and spend some time flicking through the older content, because it really is insightful and funny!

Olivia Lucie Burke
Olivia is somebody that I have found very recently, but I am loving her content. I think that I actually found her on Twitter, reaching out to other bloggers. I spent some time clicking through most people but Olivia was the person that I spent the most time looking through. I think one thing that is obvious is that she is very passionate. Not only about her content, but about the blogging community. That is something that I have not seen very often in recent years. It really is refreshing to see.
