It is time for a new beauty round up post and the brand in question today is Dior. I can remember when I first fell in love with makeup, I wanted everything by Dior. Much like I did for Chanel. I think at the time, I was a sucker for the designer, high-end looking packaging. To be honest, I didn’t even care what the product was like, I just wanted to own something by Dior.
However, my love for the brand really rocketed when Dior came out with their ‘Backstage’ range. I started out by picking up the foundation and from there my collection grew rapidly. It was such a subconscious thing and I just randomly picked up more and more Dior items. Now, that I have quite a few products, it is a good time to share my favourite Dior makeup products with you.
Dior Contour Palette.
I think that my top item in my favourite Dior makeup products has to be the Contour Palette. When I first saw this, I really wanted to pick it up for myself. However, I was pretty sceptical about the shade of the two contour colours. I have pretty medium skin and I usually find that contour palettes like this are slightly too light for my skintone. Which can end up looking quite muddy on the skin. However, I was wrong, and this item is a dream. All four of the shades in this palette are very usable and look fantastic. I think this is even the first time that the highlighters have been used in a palette like this.

Dior Nude Bronzer.
The older that I get, the more I am opting for more ‘natural’ makeup products. Some of the bronzers that I already had in my collection were rather full coverage and intense. For example, the MAC Give Me Sun and the Benefit Hoola Caramel. I wanted something lighter, that would give a very soft makeup look on the skin. That is where the Dior Nude Bronzer comes into play. I take this on my big ass Tom Ford Bronzer brush and apply a light dusting all over the skin and it just looks wonderful. A great tone, natural on the skin with a fantastic glow to it.

Dior Backstage Foundation.
This was the first item that I picked up in recent years from Dior and I fell in love. I actually purchased this foundation after the Royal Wedding. I followed Meghan Markle’s makeup artist on Instagram, and he shared that this was the foundation used. Without even looking into the foundation and the claims around it, I picked it up. Fortunately for me, it didn’t disappoint. This is a medium coverage foundation, but it can be built up to a more medium to full finish. The texture is very lightweight, and it gives a fantastic luminosity to the skin. Plus, the staying power is amazing, and I can wear this for 12 hours with ease.

Dior Backstage Neutral Eyeshadow Palette.
If you have been following my blog for some time, you will know that those neutrals are my jam. I wish that I was experimental when it comes to makeup, but I am not. I have loads of neutral shades of eyeshadow and I am not afraid to admit it. This Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette is simply wonderful. I hold it in a similar regard to the Makeup by Mario palette, which again is a collection of fantastic neutrals. They apply wonderfully, have a great level of pigmentation and they blend really well together. The Backstage range really did hit it out of the park.
Â
Dior Brow Styler.
The first brow product that I am going to mention in my favourite Dior makeup is the Brow Styler. When I first saw this online and even through it was a common concept, I wanted to give it a try. I think it was Allana Davison that I saw using it and it just seemed to lay the product down in her brows so flawlessly. I have tried other items like this, such as the Benefit Precisely My Brow and the Anastasia Brow Wiz, but there was always something about them that I couldn’t get on with. With the Dior Brow Styler, I love everything about it. Such a fantastic brow product.

Dior Eyebrow Palette.
I think that this item was one of the first that I ever picked up by Dior. For many years, I have had a love/hate relationship with my eyebrows. Because they are very thick and full naturally, on one hand I want to leave them to flourish. But on the other hand, I want them to look neat and tidy. Because of me not having a clue what to do, I buy pretty much every eyebrow product to give it a whirl. What I love about this is that there are multiple shades and with it being powder, you can get a very natural and soft look.
I hope that you guys enjoyed this blog post. Dior makeup I feel really is one of the stronger high-end designer brands. I have tried other items by some of the big names in the luxury field and some of them are winners. However, I feel like they only have a few flagship products, whereas I have found that everything from Dior is a winner. The products are out of this world and for me, they are certainly worth the quality. I will pop some links below to my favourite items and some of the items that I am hoping to pick up soon. If you have any Dior items that you are loving at the moment, be sure to let me know in the comments below.
