Today I am going to be sharing a beauty review with you guys. For a long time, I have been banging on about the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and how it was the only concealer for me. However, I have been on a mission for a number of years to find a replacement. That is why the concealer reviews have been coming at you thick and fast over the last few years.

Todays post is going to be all about the Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer. The latest concealer that I picked up to put through the ringer and I am ready to share my thoughts with you guys.

Why I wanted this concealer.

As I mentioned above, for a very long time I have been on a mission to find a concealer that I like over the Tarte Shape Tape. Don’t get me wrong, there isn’t a reason why I wanted to cast the Shape Tape aside, other than I feel like I have been stuck on the same product for far too long. Plus, at the end of the day I am a beauty writer, I should be sharing new things, not the same product that came out a decade ago!

How I use this concealer.

As with normal when it comes to concealer, I use it for just about everything. Primarily, I will use this underneath my eyes to hide my darkness. Then I use it to bring brightness to other areas of the skin. Whether it is the forehead, down the bridge of my nose and any other areas. I will say that this isn’t my go-to if I want to hide blemishes because I do like to go with a much lighter tone.

The coverage.

I am sure that you guys already know this, but I am a sucker for a high coverage concealer. At times, I can have areas underneath my eyes that are very dark and rather purple. I show my tiredness immediately underneath my eyes and there is very little that I can do to stop that. That is why I was stuck on the Tarte Shape Tape because it could cover everything with ease. However, as can this Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer. Perhaps even more so because it is an easier to work with formula.

The consistency.

The consistency of this Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer is so wonderful and creamy. Initially, I didn’t know if that high level of creaminess would make this a hard to use item. Or at least a hard to blend out item. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. If anything, it means that a little can go a really long way and it feels wonderful on the skin. I adore using this and when it comes down to consistency, I don’t have anything further that I would want.

How it sits.

One thing that I do like to mention when talking about a concealer is how it sits. That is because when you are applying concealer in the fine lines around your eyes, it can be make or break for a product. However, it is safe to say that this is a beautiful item that I feel, sits really good. Since I began using this, I haven’t had any qualms or thought that my under eyes had any areas of concern.

Compared to other concealers.

Over the past couple of years, there have only been a few concealers that have really stood out. For me, they are the Tarte Shape Tape, Nars Soft Matte Concealer, Huda Beauty Faux Filter Concealer and a couple more. When I think about this Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer, I have to say that it trumps them. Everything from the shade, coverage and consistency make this a clear winner in my book.

Would I purchase?

As I am sure you guys can already tell from this post, I would absolutely go ahead and pick this Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer up again. The quality is beautiful, it sits great on my skin and pairs well with so many of my favourite base items. I have been recommending this concealer to those closest to me and I know that the moment I begin to run out, I am going to be going ahead and picking a new one up.

As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and learning more about the Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer. It has been a welcome addition to my collection, and I thoroughly enjoy using it. Over the last few months since picking it up, it has been the sole concealer that I have been using and at no point have I felt like I need to reach for any other item, or my old reliable. For me, that is some high praise after being stuck on the same item for almost a decade!

I will pop a link to this Givenchy Prisme Libre Concealer below should you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself. As always, I would love to hear from you guys in the comments below. Leave me a comment and let me know if you’ve tried this out and what you thought.
