It is time for another beauty blog post. Today I am going to speak to you guys all about the RCMA VK11 Palette. I can remember when I was much younger and in my teenage years. I used to rush home and watch YouTube Videos. The person that I would watch day in, and day out was Wayne Goss. He just seemed like a true makeup artist professional. I can remember he would recommend brands like RCMA and Graftobian.

Because I was an aspiring makeup artist at the time and because I hung off every word that Wayne would say. I needed to buy every single item that these brands were selling. I decided to start with one of the most popular items and that is the RCMA Cream Foundation Palette.

Why I bought this specific palette?

Like I mentioned above, I bought this palette just because I really trusted the recommendation of Wayne Goss. I knew that I was interested in getting into makeup professionally. This just seemed like the perfect thing for me to start out with. I feel like I bought this just at the wrong time because I bought this for myself, then failed to use it during my years as a freelance artist (because I only used MAC bases), then I used it on myself again once I quit the freelance game. Also, I have to admit that I did used to feel like a bad ass bitch when I was getting ready for a night out with the girls on a Friday evening and I would pull out this bad boy to apply my makeup with, I always looked like a true professional!

How is the shade range?

The beauty of these palettes and why I think they are a real winner if you are a freelance makeup artist. That is because there is such a broad range of shades in the palette. The reason why I got the VK11 palette is that it is packed with medium tones. I knew that they would suit me and my skintone perfectly. But you also have some wonderful lighter and deeper shades to help me do a full cream highlighting and contouring routine. I know that RCMA also do other palettes of a similar nature with other shades to help suit people of all skintones, which is fantastic and a complete lifesaver if you are packing a kit and heading out to do makeup for a living.

How does it last on the skin?

I think that a lot of how a product lasts on the skin is partially down to the way that you apply the product and I feel like I have truly got this makeup palette nailed. I like to use my Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Brush to apply the product, which is perfect because it is the ideal size to put in the small pan sizes. Then, I take my It Cosmetics Double Sided Brush to work that product into the skin and help create a seamless base. I find that a brush personally works better for me because it helps to retain the level of coverage, whereas a damp sponge just seemed to sheer it out a little.

Would I repurchase this?

Even though from reading this blog post you can truly tell that I think that this is a fantastic item, I honestly would have to think twice about purchasing it again. I am sure that this palette set me back £60, which if it is part of your kit and all of the shades are going to get even amounts of use, it is a good bargain. If you are just spending £60 to use the same few shades on yourself, it is a huge waste of money. I have used three shades completely in this and the rest are more or less like new. A few years back I used this on my sister when it was her wedding day. Other than that, I have not used this in a professional capacity.

I hope that you guys liked this blog post and learning about the RCMA Cream Foundation Palette. Like I mentioned, this palette really is stunning. It performs truly amazingly. However, I don’t think that I have need for something like this. Realistically, I don’t think that I would go ahead and purchase it again. If you are a budding freelance makeup artist though, I would recommend this to you thousand times over. As always, I would love to hear from you guys. Please do leave me a comment down below. Let me know what you think about this item.
