As I have got older, I have sped up how long it takes for me to apply my makeup. Before work I used to spend a good hour, meticulously applying product and making sure that it looked perfect. These days, sleep is too precious, and I would rather be in bed. Combine that with my morning exercise and I am only left with around 10 minutes to do my makeup. After much trial and error, I now feel like I have my 10-minute makeup routine down to a fine art. Because of that, I thought that I would share with you guys some of products that I use and share why I use them. I am sure that you will have seen most of these items reviewed here on my blog before, but that is just because I love them so much.

The prep.

No matter what I am doing or how quick I need my face on, I will always prep the skin. Especially, if I am going to be wearing makeup that can sit heavy on the skin. I always moisturise heavily using my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. Then for my under eyes I will go for the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Cream. Then, once my moisturiser is nice and tacky, I like to use the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow to add some luminosity to the skin.

The base.

To help perfect my base, I always rely on some of my favourite items. For my foundation, I opt for the Fenty Hydrating Foundation. It gives a glow to the skin and it always looks amazing. Then, for concealer, I need the heavy coverage of the Too Faced Concealer. It hides everything that I want covering, without it looking too thick on the skin. Then to set it down I am loving the Hourglass Veil Translucent Powder because it gives a wonderful glow and luminosity to the skin.

The eyes.

On my eyes, for a daily basis, I only ever use bronzer in the crease. For me, I think that the best bronzer for my crease is the Benefit Hoola Caramel bronzer. It is simple and easy to use and a great medium tone for my skin colouring. I then take some MAC Teddy Liner along the upper lash line, and I buff it out. My mascara at the moment is the Nars Climax Extreme. I find that the mascara does transfer overnight, but through the day it looks great. Then for eyebrows, I will wear a combination of the Refy Brow Fix and my NYX pencil. The whole thing probably takes only 2 or 3 minutes!

The cheeks.

Once my base and eye done, it is time to add some definition back into the face. I always begin with bronzer. My go to brand for both bronzer and contour at the moment is Dior. I use the Dior Nude Bronzer very liberally all over the face. I use quite a light shade so that it is not too much of a stark contrast against my makeup. I will then go in with the Dior Backstage Contour palette apply both the highlight and contour shades to help chisel my face. Then to add some colour into my face, I always go with my MAC blush palette and just swirl all of the shades together for a nice peachy shade.

The lips.

For general day to day, I don’t like to go too heavy on the lip products. However, no matter what I am doing, I will always define my lips. I like to go around my lips with either MAC Stripdown or Vieve Bark. I will the just take my ring finger and lightly blend that in. Then, to add some gloss and shine to my lips, I will add a touch of the Fenty Lip Balm. This combination adds a wonderful amount of colour and hydration, without it looking or feeling too intense.

As always, I hope you liked this post on my 10-minute makeup routine. For me, it is all about getting good quality products on as quick as possible. I really do wish that I had the luxury of taking my time in a morning, but sadly, I am not there at the moment. I may one day decide to get up earlier, but I just can’t bring myself to do that. I will pop a link below to some of the items that I have mentioned in case you would like to check them out for yourself. These are all products that I have put through the ringer of the years, and I adore the quality of them. As always, I would love to hear from you guys. Do you have a 10-minute makeup routine? If so, what products do you like to use?
