Today I am going to speak to you guys all about the baby items that we have used to death. The things that without a doubt, I come back to and use over and over again. They range from larger items of baby furniture to small day-to-day products. These times are the things that I have continuously used and that I have think have made our difference to our new dynamic as a family of 3. Most of the products that I am going to mention are reasonably priced, which makes a big difference for me. Without further ado, here are some of the baby items that we’ve used to death.
Pack and Play.
I mentioned this in a post the other day and I still need to sing its praises a little more. In that post, I mentioned that I live in a beautiful four-story house. Our baby’s nursery is on the third floor of the house. Which is a hike when you are downstairs in the lounge. So, I bought a pack and play that I can keep in the lounge instead of a Moses basket. It has an area for the baby to sleep, a ledge to keep items and a curved seat to hold the baby securely. It’s amazing!
Baby Bjorn Chair.
The thing with a baby is they can bloody move. Even though they don’t have independence, them little slippery suckers can get just about everywhere. Which is why something like a Baby Bjorn chair is so important. Once your little one is strapped in safely, you are free to move around and get stuff done. Plus, the rocking motion isn’t too extreme and it really helps to soothe.
Baby Brush.
One thing that I couldn’t get my head around was cradle cap. I’m not going to lie; it turned my stomach. Harmless, yes, I know. Does that mean that I want my baby to be wearing my insides on their head for a prolonged amount of time? Absolutely not. For hours, I would spend massaging oil and brushing their hair. But I think from that, they fell in love with the sensation of having their hair brushed and now, I can spend ages just gently brushing!
Bath Seat.
Before I purchased this, I thought it was a silly thing and a waste of space and time. However, I was wrong, and I will admit that I was wrong. Running a shallow bath and then placing your baby in this makes bath time so much more enjoyable. For both parent and child. With this, I know that my baby is safe, so that is a massive weight off my mind. Plus, my baby seems to love being here. It was only a cheap product, but invaluable to me!
Nursing Chair.
In our nursery, I wanted to have a chair where I could sit and feed my baby. In the early days, it was the best breastfeeding chair (which if you read my post the other day, you will know about that journey). However, since then, it has just become the chair where I relax and soothe the baby. To begin with, I didn’t think that I really needed this, but it has been invaluable having somewhere in the night where I can sit, relax and get the little one back to sleep.
Travel System.
I have mentioned before that my travel system is worth its weight in gold. Since having my baby, I have loved getting out of the house. And I mean, I have REALLY been getting out of the house. I want to show my baby the world and spend as much time as possible with my ass off the sofa. My travel system has been a dream and even though it was pricey at the time, I have loved getting to use it.
As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and reading about some of the baby items that we’ve used to death. These things are all rather small, but they have made a big difference to our day-to-day life. I am sure if you’re a parent, you will have heard of most of these things, or you will have tried them out for yourself. Where I can, I will add a link to these items below for you to check out. Make sure to leave me a comment below. Let me know some of the items that you’ve used, loved and could see yourself using again in the future
