Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil Review

 Time for a new beauty blog post and this time I am going to be chatting to you guys about a product that I am sure you will have heard of over the years and that is the Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil. I can remember when this was first released a couple of years ago, I was desperate to try it out and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

Ever since I first bought this in around 2018, I have had one of these in my collection ever since and that is because it is a truly wonderful eyebrow pencil, so I thought that this was a great time for me to sit down and chat you through some of the reasons why I have kept this in my collection for such a long time.

 

 

The shades in the collection?

One thing that Benefit does absolutely incredibly well is the shade range which they carry. I can remember that at the beginning when this was first released, it was a little limited, but as the product has become more successful, they have expanded the shade range and that is something that I think is fantastic. Now, there are all different shades to match various hair tones, but even different undertones of the different shades to ensure that pretty much every single person out there is able to find something that works for them. I have incredibly fair friends that have next to no brow hairs, that need something super light. I have a super medium complexion and I need something that can match my thick brow hairs incredibly well. 

 

How it applies?

Something which is completely amazing in regards to this Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil is that it has a great level of pigmentation, which makes applying it smooth like butter and really easy to use. I can go ahead and use small hair like strokes, which are super lightweight in order to get a feathery looking brow and it looks like sheer perfection. This is hard to get with other alternative products because they don’t share the same high level of pigmentation. Plus, because the nib on the pencil is so thin, it allows you to get those individual hairs like strokes, which we all want when we are applying our eyebrows. The also benefit is that because this a twist up pencil and not one that you sharpen, it means that you never get anything blunt and you always have amazing brows, which is what we all want!

 

How it lasts with other products?

This is something that I speak about in most of my blog posts and that is about how this pairs with my other makeup items which are my favourites. I don’t like introducing something into my everyday routine, if it means I have to sacrifice something that I already use and love. When it comes to my eyebrows, I use multiple products already, like my Refy Brow Fix and my Benefit 24 Hour Brow Setter, and I don’t want to swap them out. I find that the amazing thing about this specific item is that it has worked absolutely flawlessly with every other that I use on a daily basis. Even products like my Brow Setter, which make the brows super firm, this Precisely My Brow Pencil just works through them with no qualms and you get a perfect amount of colour pay off with ease.

 

Would I get this over other items?

Since I first picked up this item all of those years ago, I have tried other eyebrow pencils which are of a similar nature, such as the NYX Micro Brow Pencil and I have to say, that they are all one in the same. I think that something that sets this product apart from the rest is that the level of pigmentation is something incredibly intense and it is more than my NYX pencil, but you have to really weigh it up and think if you are willing to pay that much more for something so similar. I think that the Benefit Pencil will set you back around £20 if not a little more and the NYX is around £4, so it is a staggering difference. Think about your preferences and your personal budget to see what suits you the best.
