There is no denying that creating my first blog all of those years ago has provided me with some amazing opportunities. It is never lost on me that I am incredibly fortunate position. However, none of it landed in my lap. I have worked incredibly hard for the opportunities that have been given and for the things that I have earned as a result. However, feeling rather reflective, I figured that today I would sit down and share with you guys what some of the biggest achievements have been since beginning my blog, many years ago. These are the standout moments that will always stay with me.
Getting freelance opportunities.
I need to mention this first because it is without a doubt the most life changing thing that has happened to me. Because of my site and the work that I upload, I began to get noticed by other brands. From there, I pushed myself to reach out and promote myself and my skillset. I am now incredibly proud to work with some amazing brands and I don’t think that I will ever tire of getting to say that I worked on some global campaigns with truly iconic brands.

Surpassing 1,000,000 views.
After starting my first site, I can remember looking at the metrics. At the time, I was getting a few hundred people onto my site each month and I couldn’t believe that people were taking the time out of their busy lives to visit my site. However, as the numbers began to slowly increase, I set myself the unbelievable target of wanting to surpass 1,000,000 views. It seemed like a completely staggering goal, but I managed to reach it in a number of months!
Â
Seeing my global reach.
When I first began writing, never in a million years did I think that people in other countries would be reading my work. There’s a thing within Google Analytics where in real time, you can see who is on your site. When I clicked into it, I could see little hot spots popping up all over the globe and I couldn’t believe it. Never have I optimised my site for international reach, it had happened organically and I was blown away.
Â
Getting contacted by big brands.
I can remember one of the first times I got contacted by a big brand, it thought it was hoax. I opened my inbox and there was an email sitting there from somebody that worked in the PR department at Nars. All I saw at the time was the brand name in her email and I lost my shit. There was no way that big brands like that wanted to work with me. My tiny mind was officially blown and to this day, it still surprises me.
Â
Attending incredible events.
Since starting out, I have been fortunate enough to be invited to some truly wonderful events. However, as you may have noticed, I very rarely attend. Mainly due to my other commitments and the fact that most of them are in London. However, the ones that I have attended are truly magical. A highlight for me has to be an evening with Lancôme in the Louvre. As a history, art, renaissance and beauty lover, that was my dream evening.
As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and learning more about my biggest achievements since I began blogging. It sure has been a wild ride. To be honest, sometimes as I sit here and look back, I’m not always sure what is to come in the future. How long will I be doing this. Realistically, how long can I maintain juggling my site alongside my other commitments. However, for the time being, I am here. I love creating content and I will continue to share my thoughts with you guys. As always, I would love to hear from you guys in the comments below. What are some of your blogging highlights?
