It is time for a new beauty blog post here on my little corner of the internet. As you can see from the title of this post, this is about the St Tropez Ashley Graham Tanner. I actually picked this up on a complete whim one day when I was browsing around Boots. I wasn’t planning on buying a new tanner, but I saw this and fancied giving it a try.

Generally speaking, St Tropez has never been my favourite tanning brand and I wanted to give it another try. For many years I have been using Loving Tan, but I never felt like it was my holy grail item. Needless to say, I have been putting this St Tropez Ashley Graham tanner through the ringer. I am now ready to share my thoughts!

The colour.

One thing that I do want to say about this tanner is that the colour is lighter than anything I have used before. Because I do tan quite deep naturally and because I have dark hair, I always go for the deepest tanners. Such as, the Loving Tan mousse that I normally use is the deepest one that they have listed. However, this product just comes in one shade. It did put me off to begin with, but I fell in love with it. This is more than enough colour for me to use day in and day out. Especially when it is the cooler months of the year. Even some of my friends with deeper skin tones have fallen in love with this item!

The texture.

One of the biggest things that sets this St Tropez Ashley Graham tanner apart from the rest is the texture. As you pump this out onto your mitt, it foams up and is amazing. Literally, this is the same texture as hair mousse and I adore that. I was a little nervous because the last item I used like this was the Bondi Sands Aero and I hated that. However, I think that this one works flawlessly. The texture of this item really is the thing that I love the most about this product and why I chose to repurchase it time after time.

The application.

The amazing thing about this St Tropez Tanner is that because it is so hydrating, it is easy to use. It doesn’t set into place too early like the Bondi Sands foam and it isn’t too pigmented like the Loving Tan. Honestly, from standing in my bathroom looking like a pale lamb, to being a tanned goddess, it is only around 5 minutes. I can throw this on and it always looks amazing. I don’t have to add a moisture barrier to my knees or feet, etc. because it just glides on so smoothly. There is never any over development, not streaks. For me and how little time I like to spend on tanning, this just works perfectly for me. I can’t even remember how many people I have tried to tell to use this!

The longevity.

One thing that I have realised with this is that it does not last quite as long as other items. I am guessing that is partly down to the high amount of moisture. If I do a full body application on a Sunday evening as I normally do, it lasts around 2 days. That is with a quick 5-minute shower each evening. Plus, with regular hand washing and taking my makeup off, my face and hands lose all tan in a matter of days. It isn’t the end of the world because it does only take 5 minutes to apply a new layer. However, I do feel like I am going through the can much quicker. Which is bound to happen when I am doing 3 full body tans per week rather than 2 like I did before.

Compared to other products.

As I mentioned above, before trying out this item, I was using the Loving Tan. I really did like that self-tanner, but I never really loved it. However, when I tried the St Tropez for the first time, I realised that there were things from the Loving Tan that I was missing. Such as, when I think about the comparison between the two, this is so much more hydrating. My skin seems to respond to this so much more and I feel like in a long-term way, the St Tropez helps. Before trying this, I would find that my tanner would cling to dry areas, regardless of how much I moisturised. Now that I am using the St Tropez my skin is much smoother and suppler.

I hope that you guys liked reading this blog post. As I am sure you can tell, I bloody love this item. I have been using it religiously since I first picked it up. I have four sat in my bathroom cabinet as spare items. Honestly, I don’t know what I will do if they do decide that with this meant to have been a limited edition item, to pull it. I know that there are so many people out there that love this St Tropez Ashley Graham Tanner just as much as I do. As always, I will pop a link to this item down below if you would like to check it out. Please do leave me a comment below. Let me know if you have tried this. If not, what is your favourite tanning product and I will have to try it for myself!
